አሁንም ለወገን ደራሽ!!

በለንደን ኦንታሪዮ የኢትዮጵያ ማሕበር፣ በጌድዮና በጎንደር ሕዝባችን ላይ የደርሰውን የመፈናቀል አሰቃቂ ችግር ለመታደግ በማርች 31 ቀን፣ 2019 ዓ/ም ባደረገው አስቸኳይ የርዳታ ጥሪ፣ ግማሽ ሰዓት ባልሞላ ጊዜ ውስጥ $860 የካናዳ ዶላር ለማሰባሰብ ችሏል። ማሕበሩ፣ ከዚህ በፊት ዶክተር አቢይን ለመደገፍና በሰኔ 16ቱ የቦንብ ጥቃት ለደረሰባችው ወገኖቻችን የተሰበሰበውን መዋጮ በመጨመር፣ በጠቅላላው $2896.52 የሜሪካን ብር ($4,000 የካናዳ ብር)፣ ታማኝ በየነ በሚመራው ግሎባል አልያንስ በኩል አፕሪል 3፣ 2019 ዓ/ም ተልኳል። (ከታች ያለውን ደረሰኝ ይመልከቱ).

ይህን እርዳታ በተመለከተ፣ ከታማኝ በየነ የተላከልን የምስጋና ወረቀት ከታች ተካቷል።

በለንደን ኦንታሪዮ የሚኖረው የኢትዮጵያ ኮሚኒቲ፣ በየጊዜው ሐገር ውስጥ የሚገኘውን ሕዝባችንን ለመርዳት እጁን ከማስረዘም አልተቆጠበም።

በ2017፣ በቆሼ አካባቢ በተደረመሰው የቆሻሻ መጣያ የተጎዱትን ዘመዲቻችንን ለመርዳት $7,100 (ሰባት ሺህ አንድ መቶ የካናዳ ብር) ባስቸኳይ በማሰባሰብ፣ በቶሮንቶ ዶሚንያን ባንክ በኩል፣ ጉዳት ለደረሰባቸው ወገኖቻችን በቀጥታ መላኩ ይታወሳል።

ይህ ድርጊት፣ ባለፈውም፣ አሁንም፣ ወደፊትም በለንደን ኦንታሪዮ የሚኖረው የኢትዮጵያ ኮሚኒቲ፣ ለወገን ደራሽነቱን ያረጋግጣል። እናመሰግናለን።

On 31 March 2019, an emergency fundraising meeting was called by the Ethiopian Association in London Ontario, to help the forcefully displaced people of Gondar and Gedeo. In less than an hour C$860 was raised. The association added another C$3140 (the money which was raised the previous year when an event was organized to provide support to Dr. Abiy and the Maskel Square bomb victims) making the total donation to the Gondar and Gedeo people to C$4,000 (Four thousand Canadian dollar). The money was sent to Global Alliance which led by activist Tamagn Beyene to be distributed to the victims. (Please see the receipt and thank you letter from Global Alliance).

The London Ethiopian community is well known for extending its arm to help its people. In 2017, the community raised C$7,100 to help the land slide victims of Koshe in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. The money was sent directly to the victims through Toronto Dominion Bank.

This shows that, yesterday, today and tomorrow our community has proved its readiness to help the less fortunate. Thank You!!
